CARNIVAL SPLENDOR 7 AUGUST & CARNIVAL ADVENTURE 10 AUGUST 2026

Dear Carnival Guest,

We have some information to share with you about the 2026 Census taking place on 11th August 2026, which is during your upcoming cruise.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has informed us that all guests, including international guests, travelling on Carnival Splendor departing 7th August and Carnival Adventure departing 10th August, are required to complete the Census.

Please note that although Carnival Splendor is scheduled to be in Vanuatu on Census night, as this cruise itinerary is classified as ‘round-trip’ under the Australian Migration Act 1958, guests on this cruise are considered to have not left Australia and are therefore expected to take part in the Census.

Completing the Census before you board

For guests who reside in Australia, you can complete the Census in advance, either online or in paper form, once your household receives their Census instructions.

To complete the Census online visit https://form.census.abs.gov.au/

When completing the Census in advance, your answers will need to reflect that you will be on your cruise on Census night, 11th August. Please refer to the below Important Information for when you complete your Census.

Completing the Census onboard your cruise

Personal Census forms will be provided to all guests in their stateroom, one per person (including children). If you have already completed the Census before boarding, you do not need to complete it again onboard and can just leave the blank form in your room ready for collection.

Important Information for completing your Census (in advance or on board)

All guests scheduled to be aboard Carnival Splendor departing 7th August 2026, and all guests scheduled to be aboard Carnival Adventure departing 10th August 2026, must complete the Census. This also includes international guests.
Your answers must reflect where you will be on Census night, Tuesday, 11th August 2026. This means you will need to record the Ship name and location on the Census form, as follows:
At Sea - Carnival Splendor – Coral Sea
At Sea – Carnival Adventure – Pacific Ocean
You must include the details for everyone staying in your stateroom on your Census form.
For Australian guests, if anyone from your household will be home on Census night, they will need to mark you as “Away but usually lives here”
