Only 2 days in to Australian winter and I’m already craving warmer times!
Here’s a little throw back and travel inspo- living our best Greek Island life! ☀️💙🤍
A little fun fact: My husband and I got married (symbolically) in Santorini (he loves to tell the story of how we were officially married in our kitchen… 🤦🏼‍♀️)

My tips for Santorini: stay in places between Fira and Oia like Imerovigli- so much quieter and a small, scenic walk to both popular towns! The hotel owners are also the most hospitable, beautiful humans ever too! My recommendation is for the best all round experience

My tips for Crete: Crete is no easy feat and needs more logistical planning than the other islands. East to west is about 260km! My recommendation for first time visitors is to stay on the west coast around Chania. While we loved our all-inclusive accommodation in Hersonissos, the activities and sites we wanted to do and see were all based near the west coast- it simply would’ve saved us time and money in transport.

If Europe 2026 wasn’t able to happen, it’s never too early to start booking in accommodation now for Europe 2027!

There’s a moment on any South Island journey when everything slows down and goes quiet. Not because it’s expected — but because even locals who’ve seen it a hundred times still pause when the clouds lift and the landscape fully reveals itself.
The South Island is New Zealand at its most raw. Fiordland’s towering cliffs and hidden waterfalls. Aoraki/Mount Cook’s snow-covered peaks catching first light. The lakes around Wanaka and Tekapo glowing in colours that barely look real. It’s a place that feels completely indifferent to human scale — vast, dramatic, and quietly overwhelming in the best possible way.
It might look compact on a map, and yes, you can drive from Queenstown to a lot of these places in a few hours — but rushing it misses the point. This is the kind of destination that deserves time. Time to stop between places. Time to wake up early when the lakes are still. Time to actually feel just how far removed it is from everything else.
