A private dinner in a historic vineyard after the gates have closed. A suite in Lake Como that catches the morning sun. A ski chalet just steps from the school, perfect for little ones. A table at the restaurant everyone else is told is fully booked. AI can point you toward a destination, but it can’t open doors like these.

This year, I spent my birthday in St Lucia — and what a week it was.

A packed itinerary of hotel inspections, meeting incredible people, and making valuable connections across some of the island’s best hotels. It made for an unforgettable and hugely educational trip.

A huge thank you to the St Lucian Tourist Board for hosting and creating such a valuable opportunity to explore everything the destination has to offer.

So many hotels visited, so many experiences enjoyed, and plenty of research gathered — all of which I’m excited to share with you.

Every safari in Kenya can look completely different depending on how it’s designed.
