Thanks for choosing to stay with us at Tropical Hibiscus Caravan Park. We’re a small, friendly community, and whether you join us for happy hour nibbles and drinks or just stop for a yarn under the annex, you’ll feel at home in no time. You’ll find a large pool, gym, TV room, camp kitchen, and spotless amenities – all set in peaceful tropical gardens.

Mission Beach is famous for its cassowaries and the striking blue Ulysses butterfly. For a small beachside community, it has all the conveniences you’ll need, so you can stay a night, a week, or longer without having to head to town.

Of course, the beaches are the main drawcard, but there’s plenty more to explore – from rainforest walks and local tours, to fishing trips, white-water rafting, and even skydiving.

Best of all, our park is within walking distance to shops, cafes, and the beach – so you’ve got everything you need and a few extras you’ll want, right on your doorstep.

The best part of this park is the friendships – they often last well beyond your stay. We’ve made plenty ourselves. We look forward to sharing a laugh, a story, or simply a wave as you wander through the park.

We have sites or accommodation to suit everyone. And yes…we are pet friendly!

🏕️ Free Camp Spotlight: Coongan Long Pool — Marble Bar — WA

This is a day use area on a private station for locals and travellers to spend the day to have a rest and swim.

Access is on the left side of the Coongan River coming from Marble Bar. Just follow the dirt road which is narrow and slow but no trees to dodge around, it is approximately 3kms in. It will lead you to lovely areas along the river which reportedly has water all year round.

There are no facilities, no phone or tv reception. Please take all rubbish with you. Leave no trace.

Camping here is not permitted as advised by the Shire of East Pilbara unless permission has been given by the station owners which we are waiting to hear from.

Coonabarabran Golf club has an extensive area for self-contained caravans and rigs at absolutely no cost. Thank you Coonabarabran Golf Club.

Golf Club Camp Ground
The Coona Golf Club provides a FREE CAMPING ground at the back of its club.

Bookings are not necessary. As there is plenty of room.

You can park either close to the Club end, for easy access to Club or other end of piece and quiet in the bush surrounds. (Please bring a torch with you as its dark when walking back from the Club at night!)

There is a BBQ available in the Clubs grounds.

Playground available for the kids.

Please feel free to come and have a chat to our friendly staff or play a round of golf whilst you make yourself at home.

No camp fires allowed – this is a condition from our local Council and our insurance company
