Gemsbok, the desert-adapted antelope most often found in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

And that's why we head down south on the shoulder season during the Blooming Desert safari. Gemsbok, black-maned lions, springbok and a host of birds to boot, desert-adapted animals in vast, open landscapes.

Wait until you see the stars at night too!

The Blooming Desert safari is on the shoulder of the rainy seasons and takes us south into the CKGR offering a unique chance to see a dramatic change in what is usually a semi arid area into a lush, green and grassy wonderland!
