Walking through the Siq in Petra, surrounded by towering sandstone walls, and then catching that first glimpse of the Treasury… pure magic. ✨ This was my first time falling in love with Jordan 2 years ago today.

No photo can fully capture the feeling. The anticipation, the scale, the colors, and then suddenly it appears at the end of the canyon. One of the most unforgettable travel moments I’ve ever experienced.

It’s memories like these that take your breath away, that I love to share with others. I have an even more amazing experience planned for next time I go back in 2027 and promise you will fall in love with this country like I have.

Dance is one of the few forms of communication that works almost instantly across language barriers. A shared rhythm can create trust and connection before two people even know each other’s names.

Argentina’s tango carries themes of longing, partnership, and improvisation. Levantine dabke brings communities together during weddings, festivals and celebrations. More than just a dance, it symbolized unity, resilience, and shared cultural identity, showing how movement can preserve traditions and strengthen bonds across generations.

Even without understanding the history at first, people often feel the emotion through the movement and music.

Learning a dance from another culture can also change the way someone experiences a place:

*You stop being only an observer and become a participant.
*You learn social customs naturally through practice.
*You meet people across generations and backgrounds.
*You gain appreciation for the music, clothing, celebrations, and history connected to the dance.

What makes dance especially powerful is that it balances individuality with connection. Every culture has its own styles, but the human desire to celebrate, mourn, flirt, compete, and belong through movement seems nearly universal.

Sometimes a single dance lesson abroad teaches more about a culture than hours spent reading about it.

✔️Six days.
✔️One of the world’s most extraordinary countries.
✔️A room full of people who genuinely believe travel can change the world.

This is GX Cambodia Sept 23-28, 2026

It kicks off with a Temple Fair welcome at Wat Phnom, then takes you through the best of Cambodia - sunrise at Angkor Wat, the Royal Palace and the magical Kampong Phluk Floating Village.

You will connect with Planeterra partners like New Hope and the Lady Tuk Tuk Drivers, seeing community tourism in action where it matters most. You’ll also have the chance to attend the World Community Tourism Summit, which brings industry leaders and advocates together on World Tourism Day to explore tourism as a genuine force for good.

A campfire has a way of turning people from strangers into storytellers. One person talks about getting lost on a mountain trail in Nepal, another remembers a midnight train through Italy, and suddenly everyone is leaning in like they’ve lived part of the journey too.

Travel stories around a fire feel different because they’re raw and unfiltered — the missed buses, the unexpected kindness from locals, the storms, the wrong turns that became the best memories. You hear the emotion behind the adventure, not just the highlights people post online.

And somehow, under the stars, those stories become contagious. One tale sparks another: someone decides they want to see the northern lights, someone else starts dreaming about backpacking across Japan, another realizes the best parts of travel are often the moments you never planned.

That’s the magic of shared stories: for a little while, everyone at the fire carries pieces of each other’s journeys home with them.

Dogs have a way of cutting through language and cultural barriers almost instantly. A brief interaction — a tail wag outside a market, a sleepy café dog curling up nearby, or a street dog choosing to walk beside you for a few minutes — can become one of the most memorable parts of a trip.

What makes those moments powerful is how universal they feel. Even in unfamiliar places, animals create a sense of connection and familiarity. You may not share a language with the people around you, but kindness toward an animal is something almost everyone understands.

Travel also changes how we notice things. Away from routines, small interactions feel more vivid, and dogs often reflect the personality of a place:

•relaxed beach dogs in coastal towns,
•energetic city pups weaving through busy streets,
•protective farm dogs in rural areas,
•community dogs cared for by entire neighborhoods.

For many travelers, those encounters become emotional anchors tied to specific memories and places.

It’s also a reminder that compassion travels well. Offering a gentle pat, fresh water, or simply respecting an animal’s space can create a meaningful moment for both you and the dog.

Some of the best travel stories aren’t about landmarks at all — they’re about the unexpected furry friend who decided, for a little while, that you belonged together.

Today I met with my clients to hear all about their incredible 25th anniversary trip — and it’s stories like these that remind me why I love working in this industry. ✨

They began with 3 days exploring Barcelona before boarding the Celebrity Equinox for a 10-night Greek Isles & Turkey cruise. Along the way, they visited beautiful ports including Valletta, Athens, Ephesus, Santorini, Mykonos, and Olympia.

After disembarking in Rome, they spent another 4 days soaking in everything Italy has to offer. 🇮🇹

Seventeen days filled with unforgettable experiences, amazing food, breathtaking views, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you, M & C, for trusting me to help you celebrate such a special milestone in your lives. ❤️

Once upon a time, a girl was invited to explore a country that had never even been on her radar. Something inside her whispered yes, so she trusted her gut and went.

What she expected was a trip.
What she found was a feeling.

With every street she wandered, every conversation she shared, and every quiet moment she experienced there, she realized how much of the world — and herself — she had been missing for years. The country slowly became more than just a place on a map; it became a place that awakened something in her.

And by the time she left, she already knew one thing for certain:

She would return.

Not just to see more, but to feel more.

Traveling isn’t just about the destinations; it’s about the experiences that shape us. From breathtaking sunsets to the laughter shared with strangers turned friends, every moment leaves a mark.

It’s a bittersweet reality… every adventure takes a piece of your heart, and sometimes, you don’t quite come back whole. But isn’t that what makes life beautiful? The journey. The connections. The memories.
