It’s adults only and has more of that upscale, relaxed vibe. It’s beautiful without feeling stuffy, and food is a BIG part of the experience here.

There are multiple à la carte restaurants, gorgeous pools, Uvero Alto Beach, a beach club, spa, tropical grounds, entertainment and lots of places to park yourself with a cocktail and forget what day it is.

This isn’t the resort I’d pick if you’re looking for a crazy party every night.

🚢 A Little Ship Tour in Halifax Today!

Today I had the chance to tour the Norwegian Breakaway while she was in port here in Halifax!

One thing I always say about cruising: it isn’t for everyone. And even if you love cruising, every cruise line and every ship isn’t going to be your vibe.

The Norwegian Breakaway? Honestly, not really my vibe — and that’s okay! 😂 But after walking around today, I can absolutely see why thousands of travellers love this ship.

For families, there’s lots to keep the kids busy, including a pretty impressive water park and ropes course. And while the kids are off burning energy, the adults have plenty of options of their own. 🍹

There are numerous specialty restaurants, three main dining rooms, a buffet, a comedy club that looked like it would be a really fun way to spend an evening, and a wh***ey bar that I’m sure has convinced more than one person they suddenly know everything there is to know about wh***ey. 🥃😂

And perhaps the most important discovery of the day…

🍦 THREE ICE CREAM STATIONS.

Three.

I respect a ship that understands priorities. 😂

What surprised me most was how intimate some of the spaces felt considering the size of the ship. There were lots of smaller areas to sit, grab a drink, have dinner or just get away from the busier parts of the ship.

Would this be the ship I personally choose for my next cruise? Probably not.

Would I recommend it to the right client? Absolutely.

That’s the thing about cruising — finding the right ship can be just as important as finding the right itinerary. 🚢❤️

And getting the opportunity to actually walk onboard and experience these ships myself makes it that much easier to help my clients figure out which one might be right for them.

💑 Great choice for couples who want a more relaxed cruise experience
✈️ Flying into Miami the day before gives you that extra buffer before sailing — because chasing a cruise ship is NOT how we start a vacation. 😂
🎄 Perfect timing for a warm getaway before the holiday madness really begins

🤔 THE CONS

✈️ The flight from Halifax has one connection — not terrible, but I’ll always tell you when it isn’t direct.
🪟 Panoramic Ocean View means no private balcony. If balcony coffee in your PJs is non-negotiable, let’s upgrade you.
💵 Gratuities are extra
🍹 Drink packages are an additional cost, so we can price one depending on how thirsty your vacation plans are. 😂
🏝️ Excursions and specialty dining are also additional depending on what you choose
🎉 Celebrity has more of an upscale, relaxed atmosphere. If you want waterslides, belly-flop competitions and organized chaos, I’d probably point you toward another ship. 😂

🍽️ With a larger resort, restaurants and popular areas can be busier during peak times.
😢 And eventually they make you get back on the plane and come home. Rude. 😂

🆕 It's a newer resort — that's a big pro for me, but newer properties can sometimes have a few growing pains while everything gets settled.

💸 Cap Cana can be dangerous to your wallet if you decide to venture out and start treating yourself. You've been warned. 😂
