At least two cruise lines have pulled Tracy Arm scenic cruising from their Alaska itineraries, after a landslide and resulting tsunami last summer left the fjord unstable.

Both Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America Line have replaced Tracy Arm with Endicott Arm.

🇨🇦 New data shows Canadian resident trips to the United States fell 22% year over year in January 2026, marking the 13th straight monthly decline. Statistics Canada says the drop included a 26.3% decline in return trips by automobile and a 12.8% decline by air.

Some people see this as a sign that more Canadians are rethinking travel to the U.S. because of political tension, cost concerns, and changing priorities. Others believe this may be a temporary reaction and that travel patterns could shift again over time.

The conversation is now growing around whether this reflects a deeper change in how Canadians view travel south of the border.
