SEASON 1 goes over all the fundamentals of weaving. Warping, dressing the loom, weaving technique, project planning, understanding sett as well as different types of looms and yarns along with how to weave with difficult yarns like mohair. SEASON 2 lays the foundations of Colour and Design workshop. We learn about colour theory, graphic, division of space and the architecture of design, all presented in a way that allows weavers to bring their ideas to reality. SEASON 3 pushes the Boundaries of Plain Weave. We explore denting, cramming and denting, weft faced, warp faced, double weave, collapse weave and supplementary warp. All of these ideas are laid down on top of what we learned in Season 2 Colour & Design. It includes 3 different twill games, shadow weave, weft faced twills and twill & basket weave. SEASON 4 we dive into the world of twill structure and will overlay it with everything we learned in Colour & Design and Pushing the Boundaries of Plain Weave. This strong foundation will allow us to take 4 shaft Twills to a new level. SEASON 5 we tackle Canvas Weave, Huck, Huck with Colour and Weave effects, Bronson Spot, Atwater Bronson Lace, Blended Lace and how we can get Lace and Twills all in one piece. SEASON 6 is Units, Blocks and Profiles are the 3 words that we dance around in Season 6. We’ve heard those words before but now we take a deeper look at them. We study a few new structures (well, actually very old structures) and see how we can use everything we’ve learned about design in fresh new ways. SEASON 7 builds on all previous years with special emphasis on the Colour and Weave gamp we did in Season 2 Episode 4. We take those colour and weave sequences and overlay them onto units and blocks for Overshot, Crackle, Halvdrall, Turned Taquette, Summer & Winter, M’s & O’s and Monk’s Belt. We also start the season with one more 8-shaft Turned Twill with colour & weave. SEASON 8 we delve further into M’s & O’s and Huck, the Powell method of drafting Shadow Weave, a great introduction to Deflected Double Weave, Block Double Weave, and Double Faced Twills. We double our fun by looking at structures on 4 shafts and taking them to 8 shafts. Yes it will be for 4 and 8 shaft weavers! SEASON 9 we double down on Double Weave. We take our first look at Diversified Plain Weave and continue on with Deflected Double Weave. Each episode has projects for both 4 and 8 shafts and we continue to overlay new ideas, new concepts, new graphics and new use of colour onto our fabric. SEASON 10 will take you on an exciting weaving journey with Thick & Thin yarns!Over the years Jane has developed an extensive Helpline on her website. There are answers to 100’s of questions on the Helpline. If you have a question - ask it on the School of Weaving Forum or join us on Ravelry in the group 'Weave with Jane Stafford' . JST also has a well-stocked weaving supply store, including looms, weaving equipment and a wide range of weaving yarn. Visit us anytime of the day online at www.janestaffordtextiles.com

A throw back to us learning so many things in s10e04 Fun with twisted wraps. Rebecca Logan first wore one of these wraps in an episode. They were such a hit we created this pattern and kit. Woven using a Huck Weft Spot weave structure, this wrap offers a lot to play with. Perfect time to get cozy in the evenings as we are noticing a seasonal temperature change.

In Season 09 Episode 01, we explored further Shadow Weave structures. We learned that we can put graphic first, then shadow weave second, for a more contemporary look. See our website to read more about what we learned, or better yet, take a peek on the School of Weaving! This particular colour and pattern is 4 shaft. We offer custom colour changes, if another set of colours if desired.
