We pick up new passengers this evening and start a new cruise. We will be navigating our Quinte cruise from Kingston to Peterborough with stops in Trenton, Campbellford and Hastings.

If you've been on the KV before you'll recognize this lady! Katie has been a staple on the KV for quite a few years now.

She supervises, hrlps train the crew, knows the ins and outs of the ship and can even drive it!

She celebrated her birthday onboard a couple of weeks ago so of course the crew had to do something fun and silly for her!

A sure sign you are on the Rideau Canal is seeing the mechanisms that open the lock gates. It's all manual operations on this waterway! The history on the Rideau is so fascinating!
