Local attractions:
• La Geria (7.4 miles / 12 km) – In the protected La Geria region there are several wineries producing international award-winning wines, including some well-known wines made with the malvasia grape variety. Underneath these spectacular vineyards is another natural treasure - the Los Naturalistas (Naturalists) cave, which is about 1,600 metres long.
• El Golfo (12.4 miles / 20 km) – El Golfo (“The Gulf”) is famous for a natural curiosity, the Green Lagoon (Laguna Verde) and for its fish restaurants. El Golfo is named after the semi-circular lagoon of Lago de los Clicos or Charco Verde, formed by the Montaña del Golfo collapsed crater.
• Papagayo (15.5 miles / 25 km) – The Papagayo Beaches are Lanzarote’s most attractive beaches, alongside Famara. Located in the southern tip of the island, its protected coastline and majestic silhouette make it the perfect sun and beach destination.
