Woke up to a beautiful sunrise on Blaye, then toured the Citadel and learned how it protected the village. We ended with a w**e tasting 😃
We then sailed a short distance to Bourg, a small town that was surpringly hilly!
The wash house, was in the center of town where women would come to do their washing with water from the underground spring.
We toured the carriage museum and went down the underground passage that was used to protect the castle.

Our first full day in Bordeaux. Last night we did a short cruise to see the town lit up at night.
Today we visited Chateau de Brede, home of French philosopher Montesquieu. The Chateau was inhabited until 2004, when the last heir passed away. Then in the afternoon we did a w**e tasting with a sommelier. **es
