Absolutely gorgeous day here in Alesund - sunny and warm. The main attraction is to climb the 418 stairs to the top of the Aksla viewpoint...or you can be like my husband and I and take a taxi up there ;) We took the stairs down, which was still challenging as it's quite steep in some parts. Beautiful views from the top, though. We took our time wandering through one of the prettiest towns in Norway before returning to the ship for lunch. The entire town burned down in 1904, so they rebuilt in Art Nouveau style. Gorgeous architecture! Really enjoyed this visit to this quaint little spot!
