🍴 Taste the World – Spain 🇪🇸

One of my favourite things about travelling is discovering the local food… and Barcelona certainly didn’t disappoint! 🇪🇸

From wandering through the bustling food markets to choosing what to try next, there was something delicious around every corner.

Some of the treats that caught my eye included:

🌯 Fresh burritos and empanadas
🍤 Seafood cones filled with prawns and fried fish
🍓 Fresh strawberries with chocolate, Nutella and pistachio toppings
🥨 Warm churros served with rich chocolate dipping sauce
🥞 Freshly made crepes with all sorts of delicious fillings

Food isn’t just about eating when you travel…

It’s about experiencing the sights, smells, flavours and atmosphere that make every destination unique. Some of my favourite travel memories are made around a table or while wandering through a local market.

🌴 Discover Freeport, Bahamas – Part 2

When people think of the Bahamas, they usually imagine endless beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters.

But tucked away in the heart of Freeport is a peaceful paradise that offers a completely different experience.

🌺 Garden of the Groves is a beautiful botanical garden where nature takes centre stage.

As you wander through its tranquil pathways, you’ll discover:
💦 Beautiful waterfalls and peaceful streams.
🌴 Lush tropical gardens filled with colourful plants and flowers.
🦜 Native birds, butterflies and wildlife.
🌉 Charming bridges and quiet corners, perfect for slowing down and simply enjoying the moment.

It’s a reminder that travel isn’t always about ticking attractions off a list.

Sometimes, the most memorable experiences come from finding a quiet place, taking a deep breath and appreciating the beauty around you.

This is another place Sarah and I are hoping to visit during our trip to Freeport this September, and I can’t wait to experience its peaceful surroundings for myself.

Imagine opening the curtains to a view of crystal-clear water, mountains or a bustling city you’ve always wanted to explore.

Travel isn’t just about ticking destinations off a list…

It’s about creating memories, experiencing new cultures and taking time to recharge.

Dubai was one of my mum’s dream destinations. Being able to take her there with my daughters, Sarah and Sophia, is a memory I’ll always treasure. ❤️

Sometimes the greatest gift isn’t the destination itself… it’s sharing the journey with the people you love.

One of the best travel tips I’ve learned over the years is that a little preparation makes your whole trip so much easier.

A few things I never travel without:

👕 Roll your clothes instead of folding them – it saves space and helps reduce creases.

🔌 A universal travel adapter – one small item that keeps all your devices charged wherever you are in the world.

📱 Download maps, boarding passes and hotel confirmations before you leave, just in case you don’t have internet when you arrive.

💊 Keep medication and anything important in your hand luggage.

It’s often the smallest travel tips that make the biggest difference.
