🍽️ TUESDAY | FOOD AROUND THE WORLD

Every all-inclusive holiday has that one person…

The person who approaches the buffet like it’s an Olympic sport! 😂

On one of my trips, that person was Charlotte.

She became affectionately known as “5 Plate Charlotte” because every meal seemed to involve another plate.

Starters.

Main course.

Dessert.

And then, apparently, there was room for something else! 😂

What made it funny wasn’t the food itself.

It was the laughter.

The little jokes.

The people you share meals with.

Those are the things that make a trip memorable.

Because when I look back at my travels, I don’t remember every meal I ate.

But I certainly remember laughing about “5 Plate Charlotte”! 😂

Travel isn’t just about where you go.

It’s about who you’re with and the stories you bring home.

Yesterday was all about family, fun and a little adventure at Pirates Cove in The Bahamas. 🏴‍☠️🌴

Ariyana still wasn’t feeling well, so after lunch Nadiya and Robin took her back to the resort to rest, while Sarah and I stayed with Alyssa.

Nadiya, Sarah and I were dying to have a go on the zipline, the whole reason for the outing... and it was BOGOF so even better... meant Rob did it too!!

We thought it was going to be one little zipline…

Ohhhhh no! 😂 There were EIGHT! 😳

And OMG, it was SO much fun! We absolutely loved it, although my legs were definitely shaking by the time we reached the end! 😂

We then took over childcare duties so Nadiya and Robin could have their turn too.

And of course, because apparently I hadn't had enough excitement for one day, I also attempted to film underwater in the sea… very carefully keeping the top of my phone pouch above the water.

Let's just say the pouch had other ideas. 🤦‍♀️😂🌊

My phone is currently taking a little enforced rest!

This is exactly why I love travelling with family. It's not just about the places we visit, it's the experiences, the laughter and the memories we create together. 💜

🌍 MONDAY | DESTINATION & ACTIVITIES

Prague.

Sometimes the best adventures start with two little words…

“Why not?”

When the Prague World Tour was announced, the World Tour package was just $1.

My immediate thought was, why not?

So I booked my flights, added a few extra nights and travelled on my own.

But travelling solo didn’t mean being alone.

I knew I’d be meeting friends when I arrived.

We explored Prague together, travelled on the metro, walked across Charles Bridge and wandered around the Old Town.

The architecture was incredible.

There were beautiful churches, historic buildings, elegant squares and streets that made Prague feel like something from a fairy tale.

And that’s what I love about travel.

Sometimes an opportunity comes along and you don’t know where it will lead.

You simply have to decide whether you’re willing to say yes.

We said goodbye to Marlin yesterday and moved on to our next stay here in the Bahamas.

Robin had hired a car, so he picked us all up. We went back to Market Square, did some grocery shopping for the week, and then headed over to Island Seas to check in.

And this is one of the things I love about travelling with family. It isn’t always about what you have planned.

Sometimes it’s Ariyana, who wasn’t feeling well, falling asleep cuddled up with me.

It’s Alyssa happily playing with her Khalama, Auntie Sarah, while Nadiya and Robin get some much-needed chill time.

It’s having different apartments, different views and different little spaces, but still being together and sharing the experience.

Travel creates opportunities for these simple moments too.

That’s why I believe travel is about so much more than the destination. It’s about the people you share it with, the memories you make and having the freedom to enjoy the journey in your own way. 💜

🌿 Yesterday, we went exploring in Grand Bahama…

Yesterday wasn’t just about finding another beautiful beach.

We headed to Lucayan National Park and followed the wooden boardwalk through the mangroves towards the famous Gold Rock Beach.

And what a walk it was! 🌿

The boardwalk winds through the mangrove ecosystem, with the most incredible tangled roots, little waterways and greenery all around us. We even stopped to read about some of the plants growing here, including the West Indian Butterfly Orchid and Buttonwood.

Then there’s the added little bit of movie magic…

Gold Rock Beach was one of the locations associated with filming Pirates of the Caribbean in The Bahamas. 🏴‍☠️🌴

But what I loved most was simply being somewhere that felt so untouched and different from the resort experience.

This is one of the things I love about travelling.

It’s not just about where you stay.

It’s about the places you discover, the experiences you have and the memories you bring home with you. 🌍✨

And this is exactly why I love having a travel membership that encourages me to travel more, explore more and experience more of the world.

Yesterday was definitely another little Bahamas adventure checked off the list. 💙🇧🇸

As I can’t be with you in person this week at Newmarket Coalville I thought I would share my day in the Bahamas, I hope you all go and say hello to all the lovely stall holders at Newmarket Coalville…

Yesterday was a lovely reminder that travel isn’t always about rushing off to see everything.

Sometimes it’s about slowing down and enjoying where you are. 🌴

After a complimentary full body massage, I was feeling very relaxed, and then Sarah and I met up with Nadiya, Robin and the girls.

We wandered around the market, enjoyed dinner together and eventually headed home to this beautiful sunset. 🌅

And then there’s my favourite kind of holiday activity… getting my bead tray out! 💎

When we arrived in The Bahamas, I brought some of my crystals with me and started playing around with them.

I named my business “Mu’s Jewels On The Beach” because I love making jewellery when I’m on holiday.

I didn’t know how I would be inspired in this beautiful setting, but inspiration really is all around. 🌊☀️

There’s been plenty of unpicking and starting again 😂, but I’m loving how it’s progressing.

For me, this is one of the joys of travel. It gives you the space to slow down, enjoy your surroundings, spend time with people you love and even make time for the things you enjoy.

Travel isn’t just about the destination. It’s about what you get to experience while you’re there. 💜

💜 FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

One of my favourite things about travel has nothing to do with passports.

It’s people.

On the Malaga World Tour, I met people I’d previously only known online.

Eddis was travelling all the way from the USA on her own. We’d met through Zoom, and I suggested she message me when she arrived.

From there, we spent almost the entire World Tour together.

That conversation became a friendship that has continued ever since.

And it wasn’t the only friendship that started that way.

Over the years, I’ve met people from different countries, different backgrounds and different walks of life.

Some started as names on a Zoom screen.

Some became friends over a meal.

Some I’ve met again on another World Tour or at another event.

That’s something I never take for granted.

Travel can take you somewhere new…

But sometimes it’s the people you meet who make you want to go back.

Nadiya and Robin arrived in The Bahamas on Wednesday night, a few days after Sarah and I arrived.

Nadiya has her own travel membership, so she booked her trip separately from ours, but chose dates that would coincide with our holiday so that we could all spend some time together here in The Bahamas. 💕

They’ve chosen to stay at Island Sea Resort for their whole trip rather than move hotels with the children, while Sarah and I are staying at The Marlin at Taino Beach. We’ll be moving over to Island Sea Resort on Sunday.

Rob has rented a car for a few days, so they can easily pop over and see us while we’re staying at different resorts.

Yesterday they came over to The Marlin and we spent some lovely family time together at Taino Beach, Alyssa and Ariyana enjoyed having Nanu and Khalama (Auntie Sarah) to play with. ❤️

I love that Nadiya has her own membership and can make her own travel arrangements, while still being able to plan her trip around ours so we could all be together.

For me, that’s one of the lovely things about having flexibility with your travel. It doesn’t have to mean everyone books exactly the same thing. You can make the arrangements that work for you and still create those family memories together. 🌴☀️

💡 TRAVEL SMART THURSDAY

One thing I’ve learnt since becoming a member is that travelling smarter isn’t just about looking for a good price.

It’s also about understanding what you’re actually getting.

There are so many travel options out there, and it can sometimes feel overwhelming trying to work out what’s best.

That’s why I always say…

Don’t be afraid to ask questions.

I’d much rather someone asked me, “Mu, what does this actually mean?” than feel overwhelmed by a whole load of information.

My job isn’t to throw information at people.

It’s to help you understand it, in plain English, so you can decide whether it’s right for you.

And that’s something I really believe in.

No pressure. No complicated jargon. Just honest conversations and helping you make an informed choice.
