What a great experience for everyone last night.

Following on from our Twilight Pilgrims Way Walk a couple of weeks ago, 21 of us did an evening/twilight walk up on to The Simonside Hills to see the setting sun.
Unfortunately, the clouds decided to come out and play at the last minute, slightly spoiling the sunset.
However, still a tremendous event that most wouldn’t attempt on their own.

Last nights walk was certainly a “bucket list” walk!!

30 of us met at Holy Island Causeway and all did a sunset walk, following the route of The Pilgrims Way onto The Holy Island of Lindisfarne.

It was just over 2.5 miles, but what a walk and what a night!!

Sand, Sea, Seashells, Seals(lots of) & oh what a Sunset!!!

Tuesdays windy walk up Simonside, it was blowing an absolute hoolie. Even with the winds it was still fantastic, great bunch of walkers as usual. I hope everyone enjoyed their day.

Northern Adventures Tuesday Walk was a ramble from Alnwick, along the newly opened Borderline walk to RAF Brizlee Wood (golf ball) where we bagged the trig.
Return was following the exterior of Hulne Park boundary wall back into Alnwick

What a day, yet again the weather gods were kind to us. We headed out from Shillmoor up onto Shillhope Law and then down into Fairhaugh, we then followed the Usway Burn back down to Shillmoor.

Finally, special thanks to the fantastic gang that joined us today, you make our job very easy.
