Our NA Tuesday walk was somewhat different today, more of a cultural walk than a big hill walk.
30 souls and 4 hounds walked a
5 miler, taking in Penshaw Monument, followed by a visit to the Angel of the North.
A cracking day and thoroughly enjoyable. Coffee and cake at thenewploughteatrailer helped

A lovely evening “sunset walk” over the causeway onto the holyislandoflindisfarne last night, for a corporate group from kier_construction

We followed the route of the , with a short diversion to listen to the hundreds of seals singing away on the other side of the water at Fenham Flats.

Stopped at The Lindisfarne Inn for food beforehand and The Manor House Hotel Holy Island for a celebratory drink afterwards.

Today’s “Northern Adventures Tuesday Walk” was an absolute belter!!
23 souls and 3 hounds set off from Langleeford in Harthope Valley to conquer Cheviot.

The route took us up through Langley Hope, passing Harthope Linn waterfall, before turning right for a climb to submit the highest peak in Northumberland, Cheviot!!
Return was back down via Scald Hill to Langleeford.
This was a first up Cheviot for several in the group and a massive accomplishment for many who never imagined that they could ever summit Cheviot.
A great day, great weather, a great achievement and most importantly a great group of fellow walkers and friends.

A lovely group walk last Tuesday, up over near Rothbury, taking in Tosson Hill and trig.
19 walkers on the day and two hounds.
