It's your last chance to see a Monet painting right here in Blackpool ๐ŸŽจ

Over 4,000 people have already visited Grundy Art Gallery to see Claude Monetโ€™s โ€˜The Petit Bras of the Seine at Argenteuilโ€™ โ€“ including visitors from the USA, France and beyond!

Blackpool's Grundy Art Gallery was chosen as one of four venues to display the 1872 painting as part of a nationwide tour organised by the The National Gallery in London.

Thereโ€™s still time to visit before the exhibition closes on 13 June.

Great news! For this yearโ€™s Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On, weโ€™re partnering with the BBC.

The evening will be hosted by BBC Radio Lancashire presenters Graham Liver and Sharon Hartley who are jumping for joy to be part of the biggest night in Blackpoolโ€™s event calendar.

BBC Radio Lancashire will also showcase some of the regionโ€™s most exciting up-and-coming artists through BBC Introducing.

We canโ€™t wait! More details on Switch-On will be announced soon.

Love is love ๐ŸŒˆ Happy Pride Month!

Blackpool Pride Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a three-day event this weekend from Friday 5 June to Sunday 7 June at the Tower Festival Headland.

The events mark two decades of championing equality, diversity and inclusion, bringing local people and visitors together to celebrate under this yearโ€™s chosen theme, โ€˜One Love, One Prideโ€™.

SAVE THE DATES - WORLD FIREWORKS CHAMPIONSHIP BLACKPOOL

The World Fireworks Championship Blackpool will make a spectacular return this autumn ๐ŸŽ‡

Three countries will compete across three nights:

๐Ÿ“† Saturday 12 September
๐Ÿ“† Saturday 26 September
๐Ÿ“† Saturday 10 October

Each display - synchronised to music and launched from the beach in front of The Blackpool Tower - is completely free to attend.

The competing countries for 2026 will be revealed in the coming months.
