Many thanks to Ella at Buxton Taphouse who did a splendid job explaining the different beers we sampled as part of our Taste of Buxton tours. The cheeses from Hartington Creamery and bread from Pig and Pepper just added to the tour.

Ten years ago today we released our second podcast capturing the oral memories of local people. Sadly already some of the people we recorded are no longer with us but their memories live on in these recordings.

We hear an 'Ode to Pies', Wardle's pork pies to be specific, learn about the Quarryman exhibition and the Tarmac Tunstead archive and visit two, yes, two, pubs!

Another of our guided tours of Buxton celebrates the rich history of Higher Buxton and ends with a beer tasting at the The Cheshire Cheese, Titanic Brewery. We had a great time there this week with a private tour for a couple of people who had flown from the US to see Robin Trower at Buxton Opera House

This unfortunate development has implications for our first family treasure hunt trail, 'The Magical Realm of Arnemetia'. The trail will be temporarily unavailable whilst we rework it.
