Not every Cappadocia morning comes with hot air balloons… 🎈

One of the most iconic sights in the world, yet sometimes the weather has other plans. Balloon flights in Cappadocia are regularly cancelled due to wind and safety conditions, and while it can be disappointing, it’s a reminder that some travel moments can’t be guaranteed.

The good news? Cappadocia is still breathtaking without the balloons. From the incredible cave hotels and fairy chimneys to stunning sunrise viewpoints and hidden valleys, there’s so much more to discover 🩵

I was lucky enough to stay at the beautiful Sultan Cave Suites, it’s one of the most iconic cave hotels in Cappadocia, famous for its rooftop sunrise views with hot air balloons over Göreme. The hotel is built into restored cave dwellings and combines traditional stone and cave architecture with boutique luxury 🩵

As a travel agent I’ve travelled to many countries and experienced some amazing moments, but for me, one of the most amazing experiences was floating above the landscape in a hot air balloon as the sun began to rise. It was one of those experiences that photos could never truly capture, peaceful, breathtaking, and a reminder of just how incredible our world really is 🇹🇷
