Years from now, you probably won’t remember exactly what room number you had.

Or what you ordered for dinner on the third night.

But you’ll remember…

🌅 The sunset you watched together
🥂 The first toast as newlyweds
🌊 The sound of the sea outside your room
😂 The silly little moments no one else would understand
❤️ The feeling of finally being away together

That’s the part of honeymoon planning I love most.

The itinerary matters.

But the memories are the reason for it. 💍

💍 Do you have to honeymoon straight after the wedding?

Absolutely not.

For some couples, leaving the next day is part of the magic.

For others, it makes more sense to wait because of:

☀️ Better weather
💷 Better value
✈️ Better flight options
📅 Work commitments
🌍 The destination they really want

A mini-moon straight after the wedding followed by a bigger honeymoon later can work brilliantly too.

The right answer is the one that gives you the best experience, not the one tradition says you should have.

If your dream destination is better six months later, I’d rather help you plan that than compromise just to travel immediately. ❤️

After months of guest lists, table plans, suppliers, spreadsheets and decisions…

Your honeymoon is the bit where you finally get to exhale. ❤️

No seating charts.

No timelines.

No one asking you another wedding question.

Just the two of you, somewhere beautiful, with nothing more important to decide than where to have dinner.

That’s why I think a honeymoon should feel different from a normal holiday.

It should feel like your first proper pause as newlyweds. 💍✨
