If your honeymoon vision includes arriving by seaplane to a private island, staying in an overwater villa above crystal-clear ocean and ending the evening with sushi under the starsโฆ might need to be on your list ๐๐ด
Yesterday I travelled from North Malรฉ Atoll up to the beautiful Raa Atoll where Emerald Maldives welcomed us with the most incredible surprise upgrade to Deluxe Overwater Villas โจ
And honestly? These villas are stunning.
Huge interiors, beautiful contemporary design, hammocks suspended over the water and bathrooms so large they genuinely feel like a private spa experience.
One of the things Iโm really noticing while travelling between resorts is how differently each island delivers luxury.
Emerald feels incredibly spacious, modern and refined while still keeping that laid-back barefoot Maldives feeling couples love so much.

The spa here also deserves a mention because itโs absolutely beautiful - tropical, peaceful and exactly the sort of place honeymoon couples completely switch off in ๐บ
Dinner last night was at Asiatique, the islandโs Asian-inspired restaurant, and the sushi was honestly one of my favourite meals so far ๐ฃโจ
This morning started slowly with breakfast overlooking the ocean, coffee by the beach bar and relaxing in the hammock over the sea outside my villaโฆ and honestly those quiet moments are what make Maldives honeymoons feel so special.
