Lots going on today in politics but you’ll be glad to know common sense has prevailed. I’m on the bridge safety boat 🚤 tomorrow where I’ll be scribbling out a few policies then a staff trip 🚤 for Dook at night. Then off to the big smoke to seize the reigns of power. Strap in folks it’s gonna be a wild ride 🚀🤪✊🏻

The gulls fighting for scraps of the dolphins catch 🐟 Herring gulls, black backed gulls, black headed gulls there’s a fair few varieties. One things for sure if your looking out on the water and you see this behaviour lets your eyes 👀 linger on the spot. There’s a very good chance your watching 🐬 foraging ♥️🫶

Yesterday on The Tay Estuary 🚀🐬💪
These magnificent creatures that grace our shores are the biggest Bottlenose Dolphin in the world 🌍 Growing up to 4mtrs and 600kg, they’ve adapted to the colder waters here. They’re capable of jumping 6mtrs in the air 😲 Despite their size they have a grace and beauty that takes your breath away 🫶
Have to pinch 🤏 myself every time we encounter them that they’ve chosen our wee slice of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 as home ♥️

Our last trip earlier this week. On board two lucky folks who’d booked twenty mins before on a whim and were blown away 🤯 Also a lovely lady who I ganged up with last year against her poor husband. Living in Edinburgh but she wanted to move back to The Ferry. 45 mins in the boat and some relentless explanation of how incredible this wee ecosystem is sealed the deal 🥊 🫶
Who could say no to living besides this, poor lad never stood a chance🤷‍♂️♥️

Ltd Trips this weekend (mostly sold out) due to rubbish tides. On the plus side? You get yourself along to the Fisherman’s Beer Festival and meet Pete the big gentle giant, Hackney and his terrible jokes 🤷‍♂️🤣 and Daniella who’s just completed her first shout as crew for Broughty Ferry Lifeboat - RNLI 🙏as well as the tons of volunteers and local heroes 🦸‍♂️ who make this community event happen. Open all weekend with loads of live music at the Fishermans Tavern, Broughty Ferry ♥️

Days to go before the Fisherman’s Beer Festival at Fishermans Tavern, Broughty Ferry. Broughty Ferry Lifeboat - RNLI’s biggest fundraiser 🫶
We are sponsoring the Gin and Rum bar ‘The Naughty Buoy’ 🛟 and we’d love you to come along. Live music all weekend and the biggest event of its kind in the ferry. It’s an unmissable event and you’ll be supporting Scotland’s BUSIEST life boat station and it’s incredible volunteers. Please make some time, bring the Fam young and old and make this, the 25th the biggest and best we’ve ever had. I’ll see you there ♥️♥️📟♥️♥️
Also on Saturday in the ferry is the brilliant The Yard Market at Broughty Castle Museum Scotlands best market location 😀

Brilliant and unusual day!!
There’s 2 Bottlenose that are circling between Dundee harbour and Tesco’s riverside for the last 24 hours 😲 If you live in City Quay look out your window you are likely to see them(tag in your pals who live there!) and send me pics if you see them in the comments. This is exceptional behaviour. There’s a kinda invisible line between Broughty Ferry and Tayport which they cross a bit 🤏 but not that much. Let’s see where this goes! I’ve sent some ID photos to the right people who’ve identified them 🫶
First 3 pics are them, rest are today. 3 trips, 2/3 saw dolphins they were late ⏰ ♥️
