ADVANCED NOTICE OF Water of Leith Visitor Centre CLOSURE FROM 26th JANUARY TO REOPEN 7th FEBUARY.
We wanted to let our customers and supporters know that the Visitor Centre will be CLOSED from Monday 26th January and will reopen on Saturday 7th February while we install new heat pumps. This is an exciting step in our move towards becoming a zero-carbon Centre, replacing our gas heating with a more energy-efficient and sustainable system. The timing helps minimise disruption to schools programmes and while we are quieter, but is not ideal. The project has been made possible with support from the Scottish Government’s CARES programme.

Unfortunately, as if it knew we were replacing it, our old boiler has failed sooner than expected, so we’ll be relying on temporary heaters, this weekend and have had to postpone our Members’ Evening on 26 January. Thank you for your patience and support – we look forward to welcoming you back soon to a warmer Water of Leith Visitor Centre
