The theme for Earth Day 2025 is OUR POWER, OUR PLANET.

Join us at Beach Creative on bank holiday Monday (21 April) when we will be holding a plant swap! Entry is just £1 and all money will be donated to Oxfam.

Swap plants, seeds or cuttings, grow your collection and meet up with other plant lovers. We want to bring people together, celebrate the joy of plants and contribute to Oxfam’s work fighting climate injustice.

Tuesday, April 22, 2025 is the 55th anniversary of Earth Day! Since 1970, April 22nd has marked the birth of the modern environmental movement and celebrates the growing number of people around the world who are taking action for our planet.

Wild water dropwort is one of the most toxic common plants in the UK so this sparked my interest. It's amazing how hybrids and decorative relatives have come about, such as this 'flamingo' dropwort which would liven up a pond margin.
