We are selling 3 of our older Hobie 16 LE Race s in Vassiliki to be replaced by new. We will put them on sale at the beginning of the 2027 season but if anyone would like to take them off our hands before pack up on Saturday 17th October they will be available at only €2500 ex vat along with a full set of sails and everything in good working order.

2027 Specialist Training Weeks are already filling up.

We've already had to add an extra week to our ILCA programme after strong advance demand — and several of the existing weeks are now close to full.

Our intensive ILCA clinics are designed for sailors who want to make rapid progress, with small-group training on and off the water from experts Aaron Smith and Maartje van Dam.

The 2027 schedule currently looks like this:
⛵ 3 May — Intensive ILCA Clinic for Women with Maartje — 8 places left
⛵ 10 May — Intensive ILCA Clinic with Aaron — 3 places left
⛵ 17 May — Intensive ILCA Clinic with Aaron — Full
⛵ 23 May — Intensive ILCA Clinic with Aaron — 1 place left
⛵ 6 June — Newly Added — 10 places available

There's no additional charge for the ILCA clinics, although you should have at least one season of club racing experience.

We're also running an Advanced Catamaran Skills Week with Joe Bennett on 3 May.
Joe will be working with a small group of sailors, mainly on Hobie Tigers, with the chance to try our F18 Goodall C2 and our 2026 Nacra Evolution.

This is genuinely advanced training, covering everything from boat handling and start-line strategy to sailing in 15–25 knots, mark roundings, navigation and boat tuning.

There are 6 places left, with an additional charge of £200 per participant.

Last year, Joe's week was one of the fastest-selling weeks of the season.

2026 Ionian Regatta — What a Week. ⛵

This year’s Ionian Regatta was an absolute classic.

Three races over two days, ch*****ne sailing conditions, a brilliant party in Sivota Harbour and a highly entertaining prizegiving back in Vassiliki.

Thursday morning started off the Wildwind base, with Race 1 heading south-east towards Ammouso Bay.

Then came the main event — from Ammouso east towards Arkoudi Island, joining the yacht fleets coming through the Meganisi Channel before rounding Arkoudi and finishing at the entrance to Sivota Harbour.

After a great evening in Sivota, Friday brought the final race: an upwind return from Sivota to Vassiliki.

And the results:

Does gender matter?

It's all about skill, teamwork and nerve

One of the great things about sailing is that gender usually matters far less than skill, teamwork and nerve. Check out these two absolutely cranking it across Vassiliki Bay.

At Wildwind, our instructors currently number 14 men and 9 women—although we reckon the women have collected about twice as many trophies. Not that anyone’s counting. Well, perhaps the women are.

Meet the people behind the whistles.

One of the nice things about the Wildwind team is that teaching sailing isn't the only sailing they do.

This summer alone, members of the team have been or are competing at World and European Championships in Dart 18s, Hobie 16s, 29ers and Moths... before coming straight back to the beach in Vassiliki.

Between our instructors and senior staff there's more than 117 years of teaching experience, 14 national championship titles, a European title and a World Championship.

But the medals aren't really what matters.

The important bit is that they're still curious, still learning and still spending as much time on the water as they possibly can. Whether you're taking your first lesson or trying to master a new class, you'll be sailing with people who genuinely love the sport.

(And yes, the sailing stories get bigger every season...)

Simon and Bryony are preparing themselves for the Hobie 16 Europeans in lake Maubisson in France. Seems like the correct entertainment was arranged for Friday night along with some w**e tasting from the Bordeaux region.. gold fleet racing starts on Tuesday.
