This is why i do what i do......

We’ve recently returned from an amazing 16-night holiday to Canada, with many of you following our adventures through Not Just Teddy’s photos and updates. Whilst Teddy may have taken centre stage, the real star of the show was Alison!

From the very first spark of an idea to the moment we landed back in the UK, Alison was there every step of the way. What started as a simple thought — that a train journey across Canada would be fun — was transformed into an incredible adventure that we will never forget.

From carefully planning a 16-night itinerary, to choosing great locations, arranging brilliant excursions and sharing invaluable tips on how to make the most of every experience, Alison took care of everything. And when things didn’t quite go to plan, she was there for us too. When one flight was significantly delayed and another was cancelled, Alison immediately sprang into action, contacting hotels and tour operators, keeping everyone informed and arranging alternative flights and accommodation that best suited our needs. Having someone in your corner when you’re thousands of miles from home is priceless.

The highlights? There are far too many to mention! Just take a look at what Teddy got up to and you’ll get a pretty good idea. Although, we have to say, the Rocky Mountaineer was truly amazing and definitely deserves a special mention.

A lot of people have asked us why we didn’t simply book everything ourselves. The answer is simple: it’s the all-round service that Alison provides.

Duuude! 🐢

If you've seen Finding Nemo, you know exactly who I'm thinking of. Crush, the laid-back sea turtle....Well, my customer's found his cousins. They live in a cave in Zanzibar.

This is Salaam Cave, and they visited here on their recent trip and got to swim with and feed the turtles 🐢.

Picture it. You step down into a cool, rocky cave. Sunlight spills onto clear water. Then a turtle drifts past, slow and calm, close enough to see every pattern on its shell. The guides give you seagrass, fresh sea lettuce and seaweed, which is food made for the turtles, so they stay safe and healthy. 💚 They also show you how to feed them gently.

You get around 30 to 40 minutes in the water. It sounds short, but they said it felt like time stood still.

It was one of the highlights of their whole trip. That's high praise, as they'd just rafted Victoria Falls and been on safari in Botswana. 😄

Me...two weeks ago today ☀️

I was at La Blanche Resort in Bodrum, soaking up the Turkish sunshine... after the rain stopped that is 😂.

Warm sea breeze (ish). Crystal-clear water. And the kind of service that makes you feel looked after from the moment you arrive.... some amazing staff... plus I came home with plenty of notes for my clients (and a little bit of a tan 😉).

But I'm not unpacking for long... In just 32 days, I'm off again ✈️...
