Leeds International Summer School (LISS) offers you the opportunity to study at the University of Leeds, a world top 100 university, and immerse yourself in British culture as part of an exciting two- or four-week programme. This past summer, we welcomed over 400 students to LISS from 29 countries.

In the past three weeks, our LISS champions have participated in a lot of social events and just felt that everyone's life in LISS is very fulfilling and happy. 🤗
In addition to the weekly field trip and excursion, there are more than three interesting social events for every LISS student to participate in: from yoga meditation classes 🧘🏻‍♀️ , K-pop classes💃, bowling🎳, to movie nights🎬, Trinity Kitchen🍜, Old Bar Pub Quizd🍷.... You can feel free to have the most relaxing time here and make friends with the same hobbies～～😎

There’s only 5 days left to submit your application for Leeds International Summer School 2023!

Applications close on the 1st May 2023. Here’s what you need to do to apply by the deadline:

1. Check out our website leeds.ac.uk/summer and see what you can get involved in this summer as part of our exciting all inclusive programme

2. Check you meet our eligibility criteria and availability to join us for either Block 1, Block 2 or the full four week programme

3. Look at the modules on offer and choose your first and second choice for each block you would like to attend

4. Prepare your supporting documents. You’ll need your supporting statement stating why you wish to join the programme and chosen modules, English language evidence (if required) and your official academic transcript

5. Find the link to our online application form at leeds.ac.uk/summerapply and upload your supporting documents

And you’re all set!

You can find more guidance on completing the application on our website and the first page of the application form.

We can’t wait to host you on campus again this summer.

There’s only two weeks to go till our Early Application and Scholarship deadline!

Apply by the 1st April to automatically receive an early discount. If you’re attending for the four-week programme the discount is worth £150. If you’re attending for the two-week programme, the discount is worth £75.

We also have two exciting scholarship opportunities this year! If you have a GPA of 3.2 or above (or equivalent) and you apply by the 1st April, you’re eligible to apply for one of over 20 merit scholarships to help pay for your fees. The scholarship is worth £500 if you’re attending the full four-week programme and £250 if you’re attending either block one or block two. You’ll find details of how to apply in the main LISS application.

And finally, we are looking for four LISS Champions to raise the profile of the summer school by sharing their experiences via different platforms including social media and presenting at events before, during and after the programme. The scholarship is worth £1,000 which will be used to help pay for your LISS fees.

To apply to be a LISS Champion, you must have an offer of a place on LISS 2023 for the full four-week programme and you should submit a video application to [email protected] of no more than 2 minutes telling us why you should be chosen to be a LISS Champion.

”I got to attend LISS 2022, after two years of being socially parched and thrilled for the excursion possibilities, precious memories and meeting such a diverse set of international students and the precious friendships that were found..

I attended the two-week programme by taking the module Ethics for Business and Society. Being a fashion major, the sphere of topics that were dealt here and the way of teaching was something I had never experienced before..
