I was reminded earlier, that three years ago today, the last PB 1.0 services operated independently before being absorbed into the Stagecoach Merseyside fleet at Gillmoss.
Wow 😮 Where have those three years gone!
This year see’s a number of milestones, my 50th, PB’s 25th and 40 years since bus deregulation, which paved the way for independent operators like PB to start up and flourish. Most came and went, some were successful and others less so, but in just over eight weeks time, all of that comes to an end, with the advent of franchising across the City region. Time will tell whether further operators decide to call it a day, but one thing is for sure, the bus scene across the City will be different………..and the jury is out as to whether it will deliver all that the political leaders wish to achieve 🤔
