I always add a stroll through on my Royal Deer Park Ride, although the azaleas/rhododendron are finished the area is beautiful with other plants and wildlife like this tiny Moorhen and mum. It is a nice little break from the cycle + saddle also!

A great bunch of girls booked my Royal Deer Park Ride on Sunday , it was good meeting + cycling with you girls!
At King Henry's Mound there is a telescope to see the protected view of St Pauls Cathedral 10 miles away in the city. Nobody can build in front of the view even tree branches in the park need trimming when they obscure it.

Good to meet this lovely bunch of girls on Sunday, it was hot but we kept as much as possible to the shady places in Richmond Park. Our Royal Deer Park Bike Tour has to get up to Richmond Hill where the park entrance is, so we need to push our bikes through a terrace gardens uphill + also take some steps! I have tried this ride in reverse avoiding this hill but the other end has a hill also to the park that is cycleable using low gears but then it's a gradual uphill around the park too so I choose the hill at the beginning and then an easy cycle around the park. Book it for yourself and give it a go!
