✨ What a week of Agatha Christie adventures! 🕵️‍♀️

Earlier this week, our travellers stepped into the world of Agatha Christie, exploring her beloved Torquay, following the Agatha Christie Mile, visiting her beautiful home at Greenway, and putting their detective skills to the test at our Murder on the Riviera mystery dinner. 🔎

And what better way to bring the tour to a close than with a visit to the legendary Burgh Island? 🏝️

Reached by sea tractor, Land Rover or on foot depending on the tide, this iconic 1930s Art Deco island retreat was once a favourite haunt of Agatha Christie and Noel Coward.

With time to explore, a drink at the historic Pilchard Inn and a wonderful three-course lunch at the Burgh Island Hotel, it was the perfect finale to an unforgettable Christie-inspired journey. 🥂

Travel Editions’ Gardens of the Cotswolds tour has been exploring some of the region’s most inspiring gardens, led by garden writer and broadcaster Tony Russell.

Despite the drought, many of the gardens have been looking superb — including the beautiful Bourton House Gardens. 🌸🌳

From Batsford and Kiftsgate to Rodmarton Manor, Hidcote and Highgrove House, the tour has brought together an exceptional range of horticulture, Arts and Crafts design, arboretum planting and beautifully considered landscapes.

Last week, we stepped into the real world behind Wolf Hall.

From the soaring beauty of Tewkesbury Abbey and the romantic splendour of Sudeley Castle, to the haunting ruins of Hailes Abbey, every stop brought Tudor England to life.

Our guests enjoyed an exclusive guided tour of Berkeley Castle, uncovering stories of Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth I, and the tragic fate of Edward II, before indulging in afternoon tea at the magnificent Thornbury Castle.

The journey concluded with the atmospheric cloisters of Lacock Abbey and the beautiful Tudor manor of Chavenage, where history came alive over a memorable lunch within the house.
