This - come enjoy the greatest shoal on earth! ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ

The Sardine Run is one of the world's greatest marine spectacles. Each year between May and July millions and millions of sardines migrate in giant shoals from the cold waters of the Cape to the warmer tides of KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape.

This natural phenomenon also attracts a host of underwater and aerial predators, with schools of sharks, Cape Fur seals, dolphins, Humpback and Minke whales joining the seabirds in a feeding frenzy unlike anything ever seen. ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿฆˆ ๐ŸŸ

๐ŸŽฅ Video by with ProDive Sardine Run . With over 25 years of experience, they offer Sardine Run tours and charters for those looking to experience this remarkable wildlife phenomenon for themselves.

Just over 2 hours from Cape Town - and absolutely worth every minute's drive - this is Hermanus ๐Ÿš—โœจ Tucked between dramatic mountains and a wild coastline, itโ€™s one of the worldโ€™s best land-and-sea whale-watching spots. (Yes, you can spot them from the shore!) or by boat with Hermanus Whale Watchers or Southern Right Charters ๐Ÿ‹

But itโ€™s not just whales. Hermanus is also an art-loverโ€™s haven, with galleries dotted through town and a laid-back coastal charm - you'll definitely want to spend a night or two here. ๐ŸŽจ
