So thats the final drive through of the 2026 Beaujolais Scenic Rally tour complete. The kind offer of Jerome, Mairie de Pernes, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100068661649009 has been accepted of tea and coffee in the Salle Des Fetes so expect a crowd! For those that remember Auxi le Chateau (town over the bridge from the carpark) the car park has been "refurbished" and reduced in parking spaces.

We have two spaces left on the rally (and two hotel rooms) following a couple of cancelations so if you are interested in taking part contact James on 01732 879154.

Great to meet Jerome (Maire de Pernes) who will be hosting the Sunday lunchtime control of the 2026 Beaujolais Scenic Rally Tour in Pernes - expect a crowd!

📅 Rendez-vous le dimanche 22 novembre 2026, de 12h à 14h, sur la Grand-Place de Pernes !

Nous aurons le plaisir d’accueillir dans notre commune une belle collection de voitures anciennes et de prestige anglaises dans le cadre du Beaujolais Rally Tour, organisé par Scenic Rally Tours.

🏁 Mais attention, il ne s’agit pas d’une course de vitesse ! Les rallyes de régularité privilégient la précision, le respect du Code de la route et la navigation, sur des itinéraires soigneusement préparés.

🌳 Au programme de cet événement :
✨ Des véhicules de collection aux lignes emblématiques ;
🚘 Des voitures de prestige venues partager leur passion de l’automobile ;
🤝 Un moment de convivialité et d’échanges avec les équipages ;
📸 Une belle occasion d’admirer ces automobiles d’exception au cœur de notre commune !

Les participants profiteront de cette halte à Pernes avant de poursuivre leur parcours dans le cadre de ce rallye touristique.

Six weeks time and the cars will be on the last Regularity of Day one of the 2026 Beaujolais Scenic Rally Tour.

Today we have driven the four regularity sections of Saturday to check the road book and make sure the roads are still open. Thankfully only a few tweeks required.

Good to be back at the Heritage and I dont believe Eric when he says he is taking a two week holiday at the end of November!

We have checked the b**r, the cat and that there is an EV charging point should one be needed!!!

So that’s it’s for Day 4 of Ch*****ne 2027 Scenic Rally Tour Recce 1.

Took the opportunity this morning for a short detour to visit a place that has been on my bucket list for a while. The funniest thing was watching a Nissan GTR pull away from the pit garages and drive onto the left hand side of the road until he spotted the van travelling wards him! Also managed a visit to see the inside of the Cathedral in Soissons.

Back on the road tomorrow with more updates to follow of part two of the trip….

Day 3 Recce 2027 Ch*****ne Scenic Rally Tour.
Started in sunshine and finished in the rain. An old stop and a new stop today on the route. Great to see the Hotel displaying the 2026 Rally Plate. We weren’t sure where to eat to night but apparently Cuiry-Housse isn’t where the local Indian Restaurant is :(

Day 2 recce Ch*****ne 2027 done…. Misty start turned into glorious sunshine with a b**r on the terrace to finish. No closed roads, some “jeopardy”, and more glorious scenery. Also a trip to Conservatoire Automobile Risbec to discuss a visit and a passing visit to the wonderful Chateau de Fere-enTardenois

So 2027 planning is under way. Back in Soissons for Ch*****ne 2027 first recce, and 9 miles in we find a route barred that was! Lovely weather and some great roads and scenery. More to come in the next few days.

2026 Scenic Rally Tours Championship

After Round Two three drivers and three navigators are in equal first, with Malcolm and Nik Rimington only entered on the final event of the year in November its still all to play for.
