🚨 NEW UK PASSPORT RULES – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (FROM TODAY) ✈️
There’s been a lot of confusion about the new UK travel rules, so here it is in SIMPLE terms:
✅ If you are ONLY a British citizen:
Nothing changes for you.
If you have a valid British passport and travel on it – you’re fine.
You do NOT need an ETA.
⚠️ If you are a DUAL national (British + another passport):
This is where it matters.
From now on, if you’re British, you must:
• Travel using your British passport, OR
• Have proof of your right to live in the UK in your other passport (Certificate of Entitlement).
You can’t just enter the UK on your non-British passport like some people used to.
Airlines are now required to check this before you board – so you could be stopped at the airport, not just at UK border control.
🌍 Why the change?
The UK is rolling out a digital border system and tightening document checks.
✨ In short:
British only? No change.
🌎 Dual national? Make sure you travel with your British passport.
Save this if you travel often or share with someone who might be affected ✈️
