Not to be dramatic, but...

The maths genuinely doesn't add up anymore.

We're expected to work full time, juggle school runs, sports clubs, appointments, housework, food shopping, family life, school holidays, rising bills and somehow still find time for ourselves.

The kids get around 12 weeks off school every year.

Most parents get around 25 days annual leave.

Make that make sense. 🤷🏼‍♀️

For years I thought feeling stretched was just part of life.

Work harder.
Do more.
Keep going.

But eventually I realised I didn't need another job...

I needed another option.

That's one of the reasons I started building an online travel business alongside my normal working life.

Not because I wanted to become a "travel agent".

Not because I wanted to spend hours glued to my phone.

But because I wanted something flexible.

Something that could fit around football, school runs, family holidays, shift work and real life.

Something that gave me the opportunity to create an extra income stream without sacrificing even more time.

Fast forward and I've built something that works around my family instead of constantly competing with it.

Will it solve every problem overnight? No.

But having another option feels a lot better than having no options at all.

Honestly I think so many families are feeling the pressure lately but just getting on with it because what choice do we have?

I’m Danielle, from Newcastle, mam of two, full-time worker and someone who got completely fed up of feeling like life was just one big cycle of waiting for payday… then watching it disappear again.

I’m Danielle, from Newcastle, mam of two and honestly… life can feel NON STOP sometimes 😅

Like most families right now, the cost of living, bills, food shops, school holidays, football, birthdays, fuel, trying to make memories while also keeping your head above water… it all adds up fast doesn’t it?

And I think a lot of mums quietly feel the same pressure.

You work hard.
You do everything for everyone else.
You’re exhausted half the time.
But you still catch yourself thinking…

“There has to be more than this.”

That’s exactly why I started my online travel business.

Not because I wanted to become some “sales person” — but because I wanted another option.
