Days 3 & 4 in Crete saw us visit our final hotel - the TUI Magic Life Candia Maris Crete which is a 16+ All Inclusive resort with 320 rooms (10 different types). Loads of activities to do here such as cycling, padel, tennis, football, water sports, archery and many more. The resort was renovated in 2008 and had a room refresh in Winter 2025. They even grow their own vegetables/salads onsite.

For our last day we did a 4x4 Crete Island excursion which was excellent. A great way to explore the island, see some fantastic views, sample local foods and learn some Greek history. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and so much fun. This tour is highly recommended should you visit any of the Crete hotels I visited in the last few days.

Day 2 in Crete saw us visit two different TUI properties. The TUI Blue Insula Alba is an all inclusive adults only resort, whilst the TUI Blue Sensatori (Atlantica Caldera Palace) is an all inclusive family resort that also has an adults only section. Both are located in Analipsi and are close to the beach. Each one has a different vibe and I would recommend both resorts for different reasons.

The Insula Alba boasts 162 rooms with 6 different types ranging from classic, private pools, shared pools and suites. The complex has 3 restaurants, 2 of which are a la carte. There is also an on-site spa. All rooms are due for renovation during the 2026 close season.

The Sensatori is a much larger complex with 411 rooms and there are a total of 19 room types. Guests can provide the resort with room requirements prior to arriving and they will do their best to accommodate. Boasting 8 restaurants and 5 bars, there is something for everyone.

Day 1 of my trip to Crete. Arrived at Stansted airport at 5am, check-in seemless, TUI staff really visible and helpful, at security we experienced a short queue but no real delays, flight on-time and after 4hrs 10mins we were touching down in Heraklion. No issues through security and straight onto the transfer where after 75 minutes we were in the resort.

Set into the hillside with great views of the coastline. Not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties due to the amount of steps, but there are golf carts to move you around if needed. Rooms have recently been renovated and are very spacious. This is our base for the 3 days so I will post a review/verdict at the end of the trip
