Our first day at sea and we had wonderful calm seas and yhe sun was peeping through the clouds.

We had lunch and then enjoyed 2 lectures before getting ready for the Captain’s Welcome Onboard cocktails. We were so lucky to have the newest Captain of the fleet as our Captain for this cruise. After dinner we went to the show before going to the Morning Light for the quiz. Will we manage to win on this cruise?

Happy Haloween everyone.

We have just returned from a 13 night cruise onboard Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Bolette which took us to Andalusia and Portugal with Madeira.

From leaving home to arriving in Liverpool and boarding the ship (with terrible traffic in Liverpool due to road closure) we were onboard in less than 2 hours. We headed up to The View for a delicious lunch before doing life-boat check in and then unpacking.

I nipped onto the aft of deck 3 to take a few photos of us leaving before heading to dinner to meet our table companions for the cruise. We were sailing with friends and had 2 spare places on our table. The 2 guys are now friends as we all had such fun.

It's Time To Reveal Our Next Event...

Everyone is welcome to our afternoon of "Floral Travels" on MONDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 2026 which is being held in The Community Centre, St Thomas's Church Hall, St Thomas's Road, St Annes On Sea, FY1 8JL at 2pm.

Our event is being hosted by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines and Scenic and Emerald Cruises and Tours.

Join us for an afternoon of presentations by these wonderful operators as well as stunning floral demonstrations by Glenys Markland which have been inspired by some of the beautiful demonstrations that our operators can take you to.

There will of course be "show offers" available.

Refreshments (coffee/tea and cakes) will be available and our mega raffle will include the flower arrangements done by Glenys as well as lots of other prizes. Monies raised will be for Home-Start Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre who support families with young children because we all know that childhood can't wait.

We hope you will join us for our event and help us to raise some much needed funds for this charity as well as finding inspiration for your next adventure.

I know what I will be watching at 8pm tonight! Channel 4 is a new programme called Fred's Ultimate Hotels and tonight he is in magical Marrakech at the Royal Mansour Hotel. Looking forward to seeing his trip in a hot air balloon - sadly could not do it due to poor weather when I was there!

Even in this heat I have baked a cake for the shop - used some fresh blackcurrants out of the paddock so will have to see if it tastes good - always worry when trying a new recipe.

It is the Agent Achievement Awards in London on Thursday night.

I have never been prouder than I was on Friday to receive this certificate in the post and be able to put it in my shop window. I never ever thought I would be nominated for an award and cannot believe that I have been nominated for the Best Small Agency - Northern England. Being nominated is a massive achievement for me and I cannot thank all of my wonderful operators and my amazing clients for making this nomination happen. Without you all this achievement would never have been possible. Thank you to everyone for making this possible. Sadly I cannot be there on Thursday night but know it will be a fantastic night.

June has brought us on another cruise!

This time we took the Eavesway Cruise Link to Southampton to board Fred. Olsen's Borealis for 14 nights heading to the Baltic. Can say it was a long journey but the driver's were so helpful it made it an easy way to get to Southampton (but the 5.45am start was a little early)!

Arrived in Southampton and quick and easy embarkation. As we were later arriving the buffet was closing so quickly grabbed some delicious salad which we ate by the pool. The luggage had arrived in the cabin when we went back so it was time to unpack. Dinner was delicious and we celebrated Anne's birthday too. I finished unpacking while everyone else enjoyed the show. We even managed to do the quiz (but not very successfully)! We then retired to bed as everyone was shattered after all of the travelling - and we had to advance our clocks by 1 hour too!

Today has been a relaxing day at sea as we sail towards Copenhagen. Mum enjoyed Friday's fish and chips and I had my first burger - it was delicious.

After lunch it was brilliant to enjoy sitting out on the back deck - until the dark clouds arrived. Time for a short nap before it was time to get ready for dinner. A few photos of the Captain’s Welcome Onboard cocktails party and dinner. So happy to see our waiter had been promoted (he loves taking selfies). Everyone is enjoying the show and I am chilling before putting my brain into gear for the next quiz.
