I know what I will be watching at 8pm tonight! Channel 4 is a new programme called Fred's Ultimate Hotels and tonight he is in magical Marrakech at the Royal Mansour Hotel. Looking forward to seeing his trip in a hot air balloon - sadly could not do it due to poor weather when I was there!

Even in this heat I have baked a cake for the shop - used some fresh blackcurrants out of the paddock so will have to see if it tastes good - always worry when trying a new recipe.

It is the Agent Achievement Awards in London on Thursday night.

I have never been prouder than I was on Friday to receive this certificate in the post and be able to put it in my shop window. I never ever thought I would be nominated for an award and cannot believe that I have been nominated for the Best Small Agency - Northern England. Being nominated is a massive achievement for me and I cannot thank all of my wonderful operators and my amazing clients for making this nomination happen. Without you all this achievement would never have been possible. Thank you to everyone for making this possible. Sadly I cannot be there on Thursday night but know it will be a fantastic night.

June has brought us on another cruise!

This time we took the Eavesway Cruise Link to Southampton to board Fred. Olsen's Borealis for 14 nights heading to the Baltic. Can say it was a long journey but the driver's were so helpful it made it an easy way to get to Southampton (but the 5.45am start was a little early)!

Arrived in Southampton and quick and easy embarkation. As we were later arriving the buffet was closing so quickly grabbed some delicious salad which we ate by the pool. The luggage had arrived in the cabin when we went back so it was time to unpack. Dinner was delicious and we celebrated Anne's birthday too. I finished unpacking while everyone else enjoyed the show. We even managed to do the quiz (but not very successfully)! We then retired to bed as everyone was shattered after all of the travelling - and we had to advance our clocks by 1 hour too!

Today has been a relaxing day at sea as we sail towards Copenhagen. Mum enjoyed Friday's fish and chips and I had my first burger - it was delicious.

After lunch it was brilliant to enjoy sitting out on the back deck - until the dark clouds arrived. Time for a short nap before it was time to get ready for dinner. A few photos of the Captain’s Welcome Onboard cocktails party and dinner. So happy to see our waiter had been promoted (he loves taking selfies). Everyone is enjoying the show and I am chilling before putting my brain into gear for the next quiz.

I am absolutely thrilled (and amazed) that I have been nominated for an award at Travel Weekly's Agent Achievement Awards 2026 for Northern England - Small Agency. What an honour. I really am in shock when I see the list of other agencies that I am nominated against.

It's nearly time for the final of BBC1's Race Across The World. Sadly it is the final tonight - the show has gone too quickly! Who is going to win? I have loved this series and lots of the places are on my bucket list - Mongolia looks amazing but I don't think I am quite ready for the accommodation there!

Time for episode 4 tonight at 8pm on Channel 4 of Cruising To The Ends Of The Earth and tonight Royal Princess docks in Ketchikan, Alaska. Think it may have changed a bit from when I was there in 1990!
