Another busy week for the team supporting returning clients. David and Heather completed the Eastern section Walking Wainwright's Coast to Coast . Then we welcomed Jean from the West Midlands who has been walking the Nidderdale way. Jean is approaching her 9th decade and still enjoying her hiking. We tailored a 4 day walk around Nidderdale to suit her. This the 5th season in a row that we have supported Jean on a walk.

A Busy weekend and week ahead for the Weather-Goat-Walk-Support team .Today we welcomed Abigail and Matthew from Cumbria who are Starting the Herriot way and The Kee family from West Yorkshire walking the Cleveland Way National Trail.
Tomorrow David and Heather from West Yorkshire who will arrive, walking the Eastern section of Walking Wainwright's Coast to Coast
Safe trails to them all. Looks like its going to be a warm week ahead.

A gentle walk which joins the Ullswater way

Looking for a new walking route this Summer? How about the Eamont Way, a 5.5 mile walking route from Penrith Railway Station to Pooley Bridge Steamer Pier.

The route follows the course of the river Eamont, crossing it twice. It starts with a series of signed pedestrian crossings from the railway station to the edge of the town, then follows a series of signed footpaths, bridleways and ‘permitted paths’ to exit at ‘The Sun Inn’ in Pooley Bridge. From there it is less than 1/2 mile to the pier for the Ullswater Steamers where onward lake travel to Howtown and Glenridding is on offer and onward from Glenridding to Aira Force.

You could get the bus back into Penrith for just £3 single fare!
