We’re heading to Scotland in March 2027, and we’re taking a small group of travel advisors with us to experience Scotland the Tiernan Travel way.

Or in a tiny harbour pub where the seafood arrived that morning.

Sometimes the hardest thing to say is "no."

As a destination management company, our job isn't simply to book hotels, guides and experiences.

Our job is to protect the relationship between you and your clients.

That means being honest—even when honesty costs us business.

We've recommended against itineraries that were too rushed.

We've advised clients to stay fewer nights in one place and more in another.

We've even suggested they choose a completely different destination when we knew it would suit them better.

Have we lost bookings because of it?

Yes.

Would we make the same decision again?

Without hesitation.

Because we'd rather earn your trust than win a booking.

It sounds straightforward—but hotel room categories can vary enormously from one property to another.

A Deluxe Room in one hotel might be smaller than a Superior Room in the next.

That's why we never recommend a room based solely on its name.

We look at the layout, views, location, amenities and, most importantly, what represents the best value for your clients.
