🌿 I found the most beautiful walk hidden in Dartmoor National Park along the river Teign!

There were so many paths to choose from each going on for miles- you could easily spend the day here and still not discover it all 😲

🐶 Perfect spot for a dog walk too!

Most people think “rainforest” means somewhere you need a passport for… not here!

One of the only temperate rainforests left in Britain, the deepest river gorge in the South West, and tucked right on the edge of Dartmoor, lies Lydford Gorge 🌿

Ferns everywhere, a 30m waterfall at the bottom, and somehow still flying under the radar- save this for your next trip to Dartmoor!

Lynmouth, Devon 🌷
"Lynmouth is a village in North Devon, on the northern edge of Exmoor. The village straddles the confluence of the West Lyn and East Lyn rivers, in a gorge 700 feet below Lynton, which was the only place to expand to once Lynmouth became as built-up as possible. The villages are connected by the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, which works two cable-connected cars by gravity, using water tanks." Source: Wikipedia

Wistman`s Wood, Dartmoor in Devon🍂✨
Tolkien owned a holiday home near to Haytor on Dartmoor and it may have been that Wistman`s Wood inspired him...
„Although it wasn't used as a film location, Wistman's Wood is as close to the Forbidden Forest as you could imagine. The twisted and tangled lichen-covered branches of this wood in Dartmoor make it a deeply mysterious place.
