My beautiful boy ❤️
He’s had to switch schools in Year 2 because his previous school couldn’t meet his needs. His psychologist’s report clearly stated that he requires a high level of support throughout the day, including 1:1 assistance. But when his EHCP was granted, he received only a fraction of what he actually needs.
The trauma from his old school runs deep — simply being asked to sit for schoolwork or carpet time triggers him badly and causes him to lash out. Also he's a SEN class which chaos , he needs calm. Now his new school has reduced his hours to just 2 hours a day. This has made his sensory issues worse than they’ve ever been. He spends most of his time at home with no clothes on, and his separation anxiety is absolutely dire. He’s even started asking for home education all the time.
He was promised part-time provision with his previous School and enrolled in a Forest School and then let down by the system due to funding.

This morning, my 7-year-old couldn't wear a tshirt so couldn't go school because he is not allowed topless.
He looked at me and said:
“I’m sorry I was born.
I shouldn’t be alive.
I’m sorry you buy me so many clothes mummy.
I’m sorry I couldn’t get dressed today and I’m sorry I couldn’t go to school.
I should never have been born.”
No seven-year-old should ever be made to feel this way. 💔
We are now looking at flexi schooling but we will have to fund the outdoor provision ourselves. His school are also contesting his funding as they do not believe it's enough for his needs .
If anyone is aware of any further support, I can seek on the financial side of Things to get him the education he needs outdoors then please let me know.
We have found somewhere closer & cheaper and we will fund it.
If we pull him out of school will his EHCP fund this ?
So many questions but I can't find the stregnth for phone calls right now.
