Ready for Silverstone 👇

🟣 Making its first competitive appearance since the early 1990s, this spectacular 1986 Renault 21 Turbo returns in the striking black-and-purple colours it wore during its successful Dutch Touring Car Championship campaigns.

🇳🇱 Built at Alpine’s Dieppe workshops and raced in period by former Formula One driver Michael Bleekemolen, the car enjoyed success in the Netherlands before continuing its career in the UK’s endurance racing scene.

⚙️ Under the bonnet sits a period-developed 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of producing up to 350 bhp.

✨ This weekend, the car returns to action at Silverstone, where it will compete in the Historic Touring Car Challenge for the first time.

It's almost a year since we launched Generations Trophy, and almost a year since we got a couple of special guests to help us launch it: Richard Hammond and Izzy Hammond.

HAMMOND-HAMMOND had the time of their lives sharing their first-ever race together in the #351 MGB. Since then, Generations Trophy's gone from strength-to-strength, and almost 40 cars are entered for the final race of the year at Silverstone, 17-18 October.

🏁 The curtain falls on the Motor Racing Legends season with a packed weekend on the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, 17-18 October. Entries are filling fast, including more than 𝟯𝟱 cars joining the Generations Trophy as the series celebrates its 1st birthday 🎂

⚙️ We're also hosting a test day on the Grand Prix Circuit on 16 October, open to any closed-wheel competition car.

Both the race weekend and the test day run from the National Paddock and use the historic Vale/Club complex. Enter through the app or web portal, via the link in our bio.

🇯🇵 "Godzilla" 🦖

Godzilla is the mighty Japanese beast that breathes fire, with the power to demolish almost anything and strike fear into any opponent. It's also a comic book giant reptile.

The Nissan GT-R R32 Group A redefined how much of the world saw Japanese cars, was a cult hero in '90s racing games, and still inspires awe today.

It's also one of the staples of the Historic Touring Car Challenge. Experience Godzilla at Silverstone 17-18 October.

🍂 It's finally October, and it's time to close out the season

🏁 MRL Silverstone GP is our last event of the year, and this is always one of the highlights. Close racing on track and a relaxed atmosphere off it, raising an Oktoberfest-themed drink together to celebrate a campaign of highs and lows, and going into the off season grinning like lunatics.

Pre-War Sports Cars, '50s sports cars, HMRN Pre '63 GT, the Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall Cup, Generations Trophy and the Historic Touring Car Challenge are all on the bill.
