A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to Wirksworth to support the festival and our railway. It was wonderful to see the town full of visitors, creativity and community spirit. 💛

A special thank you to artists Jane McCann and Sirpa Mörsky for being part of the festival, and to everyone who joined us from Duffield aboard our special festival DMU service.

We’re grateful to everyone who visited, travelled, volunteered and cheered us on. You made it a lovely weekend for Wirksworth. 🚆

🚆 The first Festival Special arrives into Wirksworth!

Our DMU is already busy bringing visitors into Wirksworth for this weekend’s Wirksworth Festival — and there are plenty more trains to come!

Leave the car behind and travel from Duffield to Wirksworth by train, arriving right in the heart of the town and ready to enjoy everything the Festival has to offer.

While you’re at the station, don’t forget to visit our special exhibition on Platform 3, which is open for visitors throughout the Festival weekend.

Alongside our additional Festival Special DMU services, The Duke is hauling our regular passenger services through the Ecclesbourne Valley.

This weekend, 12–13 September, our Festival Special Rail & Trail trains will carry visitors from Duffield directly into the heart of the festival—with return travel and festival admission included.

Don’t forget to visit us at Venue 45, where two stationary coaches on Platform 3 will become unique exhibition spaces for Jane McCann.

An evening of live music in support of the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway!

Join the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway Association on Saturday 17th October at Wirksworth Town Hall for a Grand Charity Concert with the BM&W Band.

The band will present an entertaining programme of popular music, including familiar themes from films and musicals alongside a varied selection of favourites.

There will also be a licensed bar and raffle, with all profits from the evening going directly towards EVRA’s New Station Building Appeal.
