Il pugile - The Boxer at Rest, a bronze sculpture, a Hellenistic Greek original of a sitting n**e boxer at rest, still wearing his himantes. It has been given various dates within the period of about 330 to 50 BC. It was excavated in Rome in 1885.

The R**e of Proserpina -The group, finished when Bernini was just 23 years old, depicts the abduction of Proserpina, who is seized and taken to the underworld by the god Pluto.

The myth symbolizes the changing of the seasons: when Proserpina is with Pluto, nature dies and winter begins; when she resides with Ceres, the earth is spring.
