4⃣Site of Sendai Castle
Standing in the main citadel, where a statue of Date Masamune, a Japanese daimyō during the Azuchi–Momoyama period through the early Edo period, is mounted on a horse stands, you can see the city and the Pacific Ocean. Although the castle was demolished during the Meiji period (1868-1912),😢 you can see what it was like in those days using the VR rental system at the Aoba Castle Museum and Exhibition Hall. 🏯🤗
After the stroll, you can enjoy Sendai's confectionaries, 🍴🍡😋and the TIC TOKYO concierge recommends the “Sendai's sparrow-shaped sweet bun” from Chunchundo. ✨The buns are freshly fried and come in four types of bean paste: smooth red bean paste, custard cream, camembert cheese, and even Sendai's famous zunda bean paste!🥰

*Aoba Castle Museum is open from April to October from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last admission at 4:40 p.m., VR admission at 3:20 p.m.), and from November to March from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (last admission at 3:40 p.m., VR admission at 2:40 p.m.).
📣VR experience is closed every Wednesday.
*Chun chun do is open from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., every day of the year.
