I’m Cindy, the other half of Send Me A Postcard.

After my first travel experience visiting Disney World at 9 years old, I was hooked. I started collecting tourism packets from every state in the country and even planned imaginary trips for my stuffed animals. Travel has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.
Any free travel information I could get my hands on quickly became part of my growing treasure pile of trip ideas and inspiration.

Today, I love watching travel shows, flipping through travel magazines, and hunting for hidden gems in places near and far.

Some of my favorite travel memories have been made with the people I love most. I grew up traveling with my parents and am lucky that I still get to travel with them today. Whether we’re flying or driving, I love traveling with my husband and son, who are always open to a scenic detour or a spur-of-the-moment discovery. I enjoy exploring new places with my travel buddy and business partner Tera, sharing laughs, discoveries, and plenty of adventure wherever we go. Whether it is a family vacation, a girls getaway, or simply time spent exploring with the people | love, I truly cherish those moments.

What | love most about travel is that it is about more than making memories. It is about learning new things, experiencing different cultures, discovering history, and seeing the world with fresh eyes.

✨ Wanderlust Wednesday: Meet Tera ✨
Hi friends! I’m Tera, one-half of the team behind Send Me A Postcard.
My love for travel started long before I ever booked a trip. Growing up, I lived all over the United States, from Southern California to Connecticut. Those moves taught me that the world is full of incredible people, cultures, and stories, and sparked a curiosity that has never left me. Even today, my spirit still tells me to go wherever the wind takes me.
One of the things I love most about travel is the flexibility it teaches us. I’ve experienced cancelled flights, unexpected detours, food poisoning, and sleepless nights in airports and hotel lobbies. Those moments aren’t always fun, but they’ve taught me that some of the best memories happen when things don’t go according to plan.
When I travel, I love immersing myself in local cultures; learning key words, understanding customs, and supporting local businesses whenever I can. I want to experience a place as a guest, not just a visitor.
At home, you’ll find me listening to podcasts, hanging out with my handsome dog Onyx, chatting with my two daughters, and appreciating my husband Hampton, who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes while I do what I love.
Travel has given me friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deeper appreciation for people and places. I love helping others create those experiences, too.

Only a short time ago, on a snow-flurried Saturday, I took myself on a little staycation just 15 minutes from home. 🤍
I wandered through The Museum of Russian Art, a place completely new to me, filled with fascinating artifacts, stunning architecture, and the kind of quiet that makes time slow down for a while.
And tucked away in the upper alcove of this old church-turned-museum? The cutest little gift shop. A hidden gem inside a hidden gem.
Afterward, I made my way to Thai Curry House, where I happily slurped noodles by the window while watching the world drift by outside. 🍜
A reminder that adventure doesn’t always require a plane ticket. Sometimes beauty is waiting just around the corner.

You might be wondering what makes Send Me A Postcard different from other travel agencies.
On this Wanderlust Wednesday, we want to share one of the small but meaningful things we do. Before every departure, we send our clients a note wishing them an incredible trip, along with a postcard stamp, either domestic or international. It brings us so much joy to see who takes a moment to send a little piece of their journey back our way.
This particular card came from a longtime friend on their first trip to Europe. For about the same price as a flight to Florida, they were able to travel to Dublin, hop over to Paris, and fulfill a lifelong dream.
There is something truly special about receiving a little piece of someone’s journey in our mailbox. Moments like these never get old. 💌
