Let's know something about Karen Blixen Museum today.
Karen Blixen is located 10km outside of Nairobi ,Kenya at the foot of the Ngong Hills.
Did you know that it was a former home of Danish author Karen Blixen and it was built in 1912 by the Swedish engineer Ake Sjogren then bought in 1917 attached by its property by Karen Blixen and her husband.The two had intentions of operating a coffee plantation.After Blixen death in 1962 the house was donated by the Danish government in 1964 to the new Kenyan government as an independence gift then opened to the public in 1986 as one of the Kenya's national museums.
Karen Blixen is opened everyday between 0900hrs and 1800hrs including weekends and public holidays and visitors are offered guided tours of the house, your country the world .
