Throwback back to one of our international guests experiencing an authentic Kenyan cooking 🍳🔪 class with our very own Chef Tinkerbelle -we simply call her "Nyawé Mpishi." Learning to prepare traditional Kenyan food, discovering local ingredients, and sharing in the stories and culture behind every dish. It's beyond simply eating Kenyan food.

The guest later launched "She dines" a program celebrating food, culture and community, and chose to feature our "Nyawé Mpishi" and the very experience she had with us.

Not every safari cat is a lion🦁, leopard or cheetah🐆!!

The African Wildcat (Felis lybica) is the original wild ancestor of every domestic cat on earth 🌎 Although it looks much like an ordinary tabby, this shy and elusive hunter still roams Kenya's wilderness including Nairobi National park, Amboseli, Masai Mara, where it's often overlooked by visitors.

Around 10,000 years ago, some African Wildcats began living alongside early farming communities, eventually leading to the domestication of cats, making it one of the most influential wild cats in human history.

So, the next time you spot a small wild cat on safari, take a closer look-you could be looking at the ancestors of the billions of cats that now share our sofas.

Sometimes, the most extraordinary wildlife isn't the biggest or the loudest -it's the one quietly hiding in plain sight.
