Ever spotted these along the shores of Walvis Bay?

These red jellyfish, known as Chrysaora fulgida, are a common sight along the Namibian coastline.

They’re often brought closer to shore by ocean currents and seasonal changes, forming part of the ever-changing marine life in the bay. Careful, they do have a mild sting.

Just look at those ears 😍🐾

The black-backed jackal is an important part of the Pelican Point ecosystem. These clever scavengers help keep the coastline clean by feeding on remains such as dead seals or birds. Spotting one is always a special moment.
