Hadigaun Jatra, also known as Kahi Naya Jatra, is a centuries-old Newar festival celebrated with great enthusiasm. The main highlight is the chariot (kahi) made of bamboo and decorated with red cloth, flowers, and plants. Devotees carry these chariots through the narrow streets, accompanied by traditional music, dancing, and rituals.

The festival is believed to honor local deities and celebrate the victory of good over evil, while also strengthening community bonds.
