I’m overjoyed to share some truly inspiring news: we recently had the honor of organizing school trips for student groups from German Swiss International School Hong Kong and NIST International School Bangkok on a transformative journey to Nepal—an experience that not only opened their hearts and minds to new cultures and awe-inspiring landscapes but also nurtured a deep sense of global citizenship, empathy, and the power to create meaningful, lasting impact.

The teachers and students from both schools were profoundly inspired by their experience, describing it as “real global citizenship in action”—transforming travel into a powerful force for equity, empowerment, and lasting positive change. Last week, the teachers from Canadian International School Hong Kong completed their vacation trip to Nepal with us by doing trekking in Himalaya in Nepal. We were able to see the beauty of Nepal and the Himalayas as well as experience the Nepalese culture.

Right before Christmas and New Year, the International School Bangkok and Seoul International School completed their school trip to Nepal by doing a few days of Himalayan trekking and completing service-learning projects at Moonlight School.

These school students said “It was the best trip ever and highlighted our service and Nepal”. They added that Nepal's mountains and treks were amazing. However, their favorite activity was time spent on service-learning projects at Moonlight School where they were teaching lessons, delivering classroom games, music and dance and experiencing authentic cultural interactions. They were very grateful to have this personal attachment with the Moonlight School children.
