We at Baden Powell Scout Peak Treks & Expedition are heartbroken.

On July 30, Broad Peak took 10 brave souls in an avalanche - including legend Nirmal 'Nimsdai' Purja, Pur Bahadur Gurung (Yukta), Nima Sherpa, Nadhira Al Harthy, Kili Pemba Sherpa (Kilu), Nawang Thindu Sherpa, Gyalu Sherpa, Sohail Sakhi, Mallory Geis and Wang Zhong.

Mountains give us everything, and sometimes they take everything. Your courage, your smiles, and your service to mountaineering will never be forgotten.

Hardik shraddhanjali to all. Our prayers and deepest condolences are with the families, with our friends at Elite Exped, and with the entire mountaineering community.

Rest in the mountains you loved.
