Welcome back to the Queenstown/Wānaka Weekly Snow Report.

Event season is here with the Adaptive Snow Festival at Cardrona kicking things off for August, followed by the Coronet Peak Dog Derby, Winter Pride Week, and Merino Muster at Snow Farm. Looking ahead to September, the Jossi Wells Invitational brings jaw-dropping talent to Cardrona, along with the Snow Machine music festival and The Remarkables' 40th birthday Spring Carnival.

Over to the mountains - Coronet Peak has night skiing tonight and first tracks from 8am daily. Treble Cone Ski Area could receive up to 20cm from this storm if freezing levels allow, The Remarkables’ Alta chutes are serving up chalky snow, and Cardrona Alpine Resort, NZ's park crew have jumps and rails in pristine condition. And après? Well, it’s never a bad day for après.

This storm should deliver some snow at higher elevations, with bluebird conditions forecast for Friday ⛷️
